How much is your Steem post really worth?

STUs Simplifed + Calculator!

I’ve noticed a lot here recently in the DTube Discord server that I’m having to explain this new concept called an STU. So let’s simplify my life (and yours) by explaining what the actual heck is an STU and how you can easily calculate it.

What is an STU?

When you look at your Steemit post, there’s a number there for how much your post is worth. For the longest time people didn’t know if that was USD, Steem, Steem Backed Dollars (SBD), or something else entirely. Thanks to the hard work of @dragosroua, @geekorner, and @penguinpablo, we now know that this value is based on the underlying VESTS that Steem uses for Storage value. To make this a bit easier, they came up with a term to more easily describe this payout value dubbed a Steem Token Units or STU.

Firefox with Addons

What is Tree Style Tabs?

Tree Style Tabs moves the Tabs to a sidebar and they are organized like a folder.

It allows better productivity!

Other Addons

I also have some other addons installed including:

  • AdBlock Plus: I use this mostly for annoying sites but I let though some!
  • HTTPS Everywhere: This is a must-have privacy tool!
  • DuckDuckGo Plus: Makes DuckDuckGo Better and even if you use Google, it will spruce it up with DDG’s answers.
  • Tab Mix Plus: Enhance’s Firefox and is compatiable with Tree Style Tabs!
  • Lazarus: Make sure you don’t loose forms due to crashes!
  • Session Manager: Save tabs (and Tree Style Tab’s Tree Structure) across sessions!
  • Download Manager (S3): Get rid of the Download Window and move it to a bar at the bottom like Chrome
  • FT DeepDark Theme: Awesome Dark Theme

Where is the Title Bar?

Also, you may notice that I don’t have a Title bar.

When I switched to the new site powered by Jekyll and Thinny, I also added Google+ comments. Problem was they weren’t showing up. Thanks to this tutorial, I found a few changes I needed to make.

Thinny already included the code to add the comments; however, you have to do some things on Google’s end to fix it.

On Google+, go to your about page on your profile and edit your links. Under Contributor to, add your domain.
